Ceremony Room 'Antico Spedale del Bigallo'

An ancient hospice, the "Antico Spedale del Bigallo" gave assistance and shelter to pilgrims and wayfarers in the 13th century. Today, its ceremony room, once used as a monastic refectory, is large 150 sq. meters, and can contain up to 100 people. It is perfectly restored in every detail, from the genuine medieval cotto floor tiling to coffered decorated ceilings. Within the hospice, there is also a loggia and an inner courtyard accessible through an ancient iron gate.

[Medieval kitchen] Near the ceremony room there is a monumental kitchen with enough room for 30 seats. With its fireplace held up by mullions, and its two back rooms, it can be used for meetings or as an artistic setting for photos. The large 50 space parking area available for guests, overlooks a breathtaking view of Florence. With is warm atmosphere, the "Antico Spedale del Bigallo" is ideal for public or private events, including weddings, cultural events, concerts, art exhibitions, meetings and/or conferences.

The Antico Spedale del Bigallo is also a Youth Hostel with 50 beds in appealing medieval-style dormitories.
